The Valley Park development will be carried out in phases (each phase relates to a parcel of land) where each phase will require a reserved matters application.

In 2022 outline planning permission was granted for Land at Valley Park for up to 4,254 new homes, including over 35 per cent affordable housing, public open spaces, sports pitches, primary schools, and community facilities with new healthcare provision.

As part of the outline permission detailed plans were approved for the various access junctions to the development, including from the A4130 to the north. In addition, various ‘parameter’ plans identifying the broad location of the housing, open space, education, community, leisure and health facilities were approved.
